dData — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 June 2026
dData is a business management (ERP) platform offered as a web and mobile application for companies and their employees (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the dData mobile application (package com.ddata.ddata_mobile) collects, why, and how it is handled.
dData is a business-to-business (B2B) tool. User accounts are created and managed by the customer organization (your employer); the app does not offer public self-registration. It is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of data, only as needed to provide the Service:
- Account & identity information — name, email address, phone number, profile photo, job role, and the organization you belong to. Used for authentication and to operate your account.
- Location (precise) — collected only while you actively use a location-based feature: live delivery tracking, work attendance check-in/check-out, and customer visit logging. During delivery tracking, location runs as a foreground service with a persistent notification — the app does not track your location silently in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
- Camera & photos — used when you take or select photos for: profile picture, document/receipt scanning, attaching images to records (deliveries, returns, purchase orders, customer visits) and bug reports. Photos are accessed only when you choose them via the system camera or photo picker.
- Microphone & audio — used for voice messages, audio/video meetings, and screen sharing with audio. Audio is captured only while you use these features.
- Files & documents — files you choose to upload and attach to business records.
- Messages & content — messages, comments and attachments you send within the app’s chat and collaboration features.
- Business data you enter — inventory, sales, purchasing, HR, accounting and related records you create while using the ERP.
- Device & technical data — a push notification token (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver notifications, and basic technical/diagnostic information needed to operate the Service and fix problems.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the Service and its features.
- To manage delivery and field operations (location-based features).
- To enable communication (chat, calls, meetings) and send notifications.
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
- To diagnose and fix technical problems.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the Service, strictly as needed:
- Hosting / infrastructure — our servers, which store and process your data.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications (a device token is processed).
- Real-time media (LiveKit) — to transmit audio/video during meetings and screen sharing.
We may disclose information where required by law.
Data security
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS (and WSS for real-time connections).
Data retention & deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time — see our Data Deletion page or contact us. Because dData is an enterprise product, some data is also controlled by your organization (your employer), which administers your account.
Your choices
- You can grant or revoke permissions (location, camera, microphone, notifications) at any time in your device settings.
- You can request access to, or deletion of, your data (see the Data Deletion page).
Children
dData is a business application intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children.
